When Honey hears that a troupe of travelling players are to visit Bluebell Woods, she can't wait to tell her friends. And when the players arrive with cartloads of props and costumes, Honey is eager to help them set up camp beside the Babbling Brook.

Florence and her friends are walking beside the Babbling Brook when she discovers an old boat tangled up in the reeds. It looks like it's been there for a very long time, but Florence suggests that they fix it so they can sail in it. Soon the friends are heading downstream on a river adventure of a lifetime.

Everyone is gathering nuts and berries to store for the long winter months ahead. Adventurous Evie has heard of a long-forgotten hazel grove which has lots of nuts. She persuades her three friends to go in search of the grove, but on their way they get caught in a storm.

It will soon be time for the Bluebell Woods Summer Ball and everyone is preparing for the festivities. Honey the dormouse cannot wait. This time she'll be old enough to join her big sister Hattie in the grand parade. But she has nothing to wear.
